In every musical era there are heroes and those that are remembered by the masses...An almost mythical storyline of how things started.

 

Well the Bristol Sound has been well documented, venues like the Dug-out, crews like Smith & Mighty, Wild Bunch, Fresh Four, True Funk posse and Dj's like Tristan B all spawned success and catapulted the likes of Roni Size, DJ Jodie, Tricky and of course Massive Attack to worldwide recognition, yet if you ask any one of these musical icons about Freshblood...They should all tell you that they were there too, staging open air Freestyle parties in Bedminster & Kingswood as well as the legendary Bristol Safe Music concert that attracted nearly 20,000 in Eastville Park.

 

Freshblood have quietly plied their trade and now realise that they too were part of the original inspiration "back in the day" Tunes like Easy, Live Your Life in Honesty and Money, took the guys across the globe to promote and perform their music. Bands and Artists like Naughty By nature, Tricky, Maxi Priest, Omar, Cookie Crew, De La Soul, Monie Love, PM Dawn, Oui 3, Philip Leo, Ratpack and MC Mikee Freedom all played alongside the Freshblood Posse.

 

Original band members, Freshblood MC, D'Rods and Spike were originally joined by TNT Productions (Giles Luckes & Lawrence Holloway), after a brief collaboration with TNT, Engineer Corin Bishop & Producer/Programmer Lawrence Holloway (Squinty B) became part of the Freshblood Posse and the lads produced some of their best & most memorable music led by the genial talents of Holloway who worked tirelessly in studio to mould that distinctive Freshblood sound also used to produce Dan Ratchets biggest reggae hits.

 

The guys briefly became the FB Crew but were always best remembered as the Freshblood Posse, producing an array of artists including the British Younggunnz who hit no. 1 in the UK Rap charts.

 

The guys have also hosted their own club nights, and radio shows and are now back recording a fourth studio album and currently signed to management company Patikular Music who are looking to arrange new shows and radio residencies as well as a string of club nights.

 

During the early nineties and beyond, the Freshblood Posse captured the hearts and imagination of a generation of Bristolians. Those fans and supporters have helped them to achieve nearly one million unit sales. With their help, love and support the guys hope to continue to build on that incredible success.
